加州大學舊金山分校人體工學專家Melissa Afterman和Meg Honan已撰寫一份新白皮書,介紹如何將實驗室中的重複性疲勞傷害(RSI)減至最小。這份白皮書介紹了組織如何採取更全面的方法改善員工福祉,不僅提高安全和效率,也進一步提升他們的收益。
在實驗室內部或周邊工作的人員皆知,在實驗室作業(例如微量分注)中,常見的重複性物理行為是造成工作疲勞和傷害的主要因素。許多組織透過解決疼痛或不適等症狀,以應對員工的健康和安全問題。但是,正如Afterman和Honan所述,透過主動考慮「所有人」的需求及他們所在的實驗室環境,以尋求改善員工福祉的組織,可以提高生產力並降低成本。
