Industrial metal detectors for meat processing are advanced industrial systems that can detect metal contaminants in meat applications, then efficiently reject them from the production line.
Our metal detectors work through a balanced coil system that creates a magnetic field to identify metal contaminants in a product.
As the meat product passes through the aperture, the metal detector will inspect the product and let it pass if there’s no contamination.
However, if a metal contaminant is identified, the metal detector will send a signal that can trigger an audible alarm, light up a beacon, and/or reject the product or stop the flow depending on specifications. Automatic rejection of the product can be carried out in a variety of ways, such as via punch/pusher device, sweep arm, or the contaminated product can be diverted from the product flow.

There are various factors that can potentially affect the spherical sensitivity of industrial metal detectors for meat processing. This can include:
The characteristics of the meat product you are inspecting can also impact sensitivity. Certain meat products which contain high moisture or salt content can be electrically conductive, meaning they behave in a similar way to metal. This behavior is known as "product effect". It’s therefore important to consider these factors when choosing the right industrial metal detector for meat processing in your factory.
