A serological pipette controller is a handheld mechanical device used in laboratories to aspirate and dispense large volumes of liquid. The Rainin SP pipette controller elegantly blends superior ergonomics with state-of-the-art technology and the industry's fastest recharge time to conquer your most challenging liquid handling needs. It helps reduce costs by transferring liquid volumes ranging from 0.1 mL to 100 mL, and it works with any type of serological pipette.
Adjustable low-force aspiration and dispense speeds offer greater flexibility and ease of use. Transfer liquids ranging from 0.1 mL to 100 mL with any serological pipette (1 mL, 2 mL, 5 mL, 10 mL, 15 mL, 25 mL, 50 mL and 100 mL). The Rainin SP also offers separate motor-assisted aspiration and dispense for time sensitive protocols and a gravity option setting.
It's ergonomic design makes it one of the lightest, best balanced and easy to handle serological pipettes available. The angled grip promotes ergonomic use in a laminar-flow cabinet and pressure-sensitive aspiration and dispense buttons provide continuously variable speed control. The included support frame allows the instrument to rest on the bench when not in use.
The SP works with 1 to 100 mL glass and plastic serological and micropipettes and can transfer liquid from 0.1 to 100 mL.
The SP delivers 15 hours of operation on a single charge and up to one hour of operation after just 10 minutes. The instrument is fully operable while connected to the charging cable or can be charged while placed in the included magnetic Hang-up™. An LED display indicates charge level and smart-charge technology optimizes battery life and prevents overcharging.
A built-in check valve and replaceable 0.22 micron hydrophobic membrane filter protect internal components from moisture and contamination during aspiration. The SP adapter housing, including the membrane filter, is autoclavable to 121° Celsius.
METTLER TOLEDO supports and services your pipettes through their entire life-cycle, from good pipetting techniques to preventive maintenance and calibration to equipment repair.
A magnetic Hang-up™ that charges the SP while it stores is included, as is a convenient support stand that lets it easily and safely rest on the benchtop during experiments.
The Rainin SP has a built-in rechargeable battery. The battery has a two-year life and is replaceable only by an authorized METTLER TOLEDO or Rainin service technician.
On a single full charge the SP+ works for up to 15 hours of consecutive use. The instrument can still be operated while plugged in to a power source.
