When studying crystallization processes, it's important to understand the concentration of the supernatant for yield, purity, and cycle time optimization. However, sampling presents challenges due to spontaneous product precipitation or fouling of the membrane during filtration. Automated sampling with EasySampler has been successful, but interrupting mixing isn't ideal for sensitive systems. In-situ PAT is valuable for real-time monitoring, but qualitative analysis requires modeling and quantitative analysis needs calibration via HPLC. Combining PAT and HPLC data would enhance crystallization experiments.
