Today's building materials comprise not only classical ingredients such as cement and additives (sand, lime, etc.) but also a complex mixture of polymers in the form of dispersions. Such complex formulas require a corresponding number of quality controls during the production. In this context, thermal analysis has gained great importance and significant application possibilities in this field. This article shows how a modified tile adhesive was investigated using TGA-FTIR.
