METTLER TOLEDO's STARe Software Allows One to Predict Reaction Behavior from DSC or TGA Measurements

STARe software experiment scheduler set up

In this tutorial software video, we will show you how to schedule start times for your experiments.

Kinetics is a powerful method for investigating and predicting reaction behavior under different conditions, where measurements are difficult to perform or where the reaction times are very short or very long.

METTLER TOLEDO STARe software offers 3 distinct options for kinetic analysis:

  1. Nth Order kinetics for simple reactions
  2. Model Free Kinetics (MFK), which not require a preselection of any kinetic model and is applicable to simple and complex reactions alike.
  3. Advanced Model Free Kinetics – the most sophisticated method of the three

This video describes the procedure of MFK. MFK calculates the conversion-dependent, “apparent” activation energy to make reliable predictions about reaction behavior.
