METTLER TOLEDO Product Inspection offers a variety of strategies to assist you with meeting your Food Safety Standards. Our Systems Analysis, Foreign Material Program Enhancement (SAFE) Program is designed to provide you with recommendations for ways to increase production efficiencies, reduce waste and false rejects, and provide information regarding industry best practices for foreign material prevention and detection.
Collaborative Initial Meeting – Our Food Safety Consultant will analyze your current Foreign Material Prevention & Detection program to gain an understanding of your current challenges and future needs. During this initial meeting, we will discuss any regulatory, customer specific, company policy and/or certification requirements as they pertain to foreign material. Understanding your requirements as well as current challenges and future concerns will enable us to focus our recommendations for improvement to areas that will have the greatest benefit to you and your organization.
Facility Tour – Your team and the Food Safety Consultant will tour the facility together starting from where ingredients are received to final production. Along the way, we will assess your processes and procedures highlighting areas of risk, verify personnel activities, and identify improvement opportunities.
Review Meeting – The visit will conclude with a meeting to review information obtained during the initial meeting and facility tour. The Food Safety Consultant will provide an overview of current concerns and improvement opportunities as well as confirm any action items.
SAFE Report – The Food Safety Consultant will follow up the visit with a detailed SAFE report documenting the challenges, discussions and improvement opportunities.
