Before consumers taste your beer, they look to see if the color and brightness are what they're expecting. That's why controlling turbidity and color during production are so critical.
An advanced turbidity sensor can give you three measurements that provide assurance that the beer's appearance is just what you and your customers are looking for. This application note looks at what these measurements are and how they can improve your filtration, blending, and filling.
Turbidity sensors for beer production typically employ two measurements: scattered light at 25° and at 90°. The former is for detecting larger particles such as yeast cells, and the latter measures haze caused by proteins and beta-glucans. METTLER TOLEDO's InPro 8630ie sensors measures at both these angles and, in addition, measures the transmission of blue light to measure color.
Discover in the application note how the easy-to-install InPro 8630ie sensor provides the turbidity and color measurements needed to ensure your beers have the appearance you require and your consumers enjoy.
