The guide describes ways to automate the Karl Fischer titration process. Automation permits more efficient use of space and/or resources. It may be used either to accelerate individual processes or to reduce the need for operator intervention during a workflow, which can help to improve productivity
The guide covers related topics including:

- Automation Options for Karl Fischer Titration
- Options for Flexible Karl Fischer Oven Automation
Additionally, it reviews application examples that can be modified for other sample types.
What can I automate for Karl Fischer Titration?
Karl Fischer titrations can be automated to improve both productivity and results reliability, and it can improve both ergonomics and safety for the end users. An InMotion™ Karl Fischer Oven Autosampler and/or an InMotion Autosampler with the Karl Fischer Kit option can be used for automating Karl Fischer titration.
With the InMotion Karl Fischer Oven Autosampler, up to 120 volumetric or coulometric automated water-specific titrations can be performed in a single sample series, with highly precise measurements down to a few ppm.
For samples that do not require the water to be extracted using the oven technique, automation of volumetric KF titrations is realized using an InMotion Autosampler with a Karl Fischer Kit option. Combined with any of the InMotion 100 mL racks, the Karl Fischer Kit allows for direct titration of up to 55 solid and liquid samples in the titration beaker.
