How to Use the Measurement Scheduler in STARe Software

비디오

METTLER TOLEDO's STARe Software Permits the Flexible Scheduling of Experiments. This Is Extremely Useful for Sensitive Measurements That Require a Quiet Lab.

STARe software experiment scheduler set up

In this tutorial software video, we will show you how to schedule start times for your experiments.

Environmental factors, such as weather conditions or road traffic, can trigger changes in ambient temperature or pressure.

The STARe software "Measurement Scheduler" functionality, described in this video, was designed to allow users to automatically start experiments at times conducive to obtaining the most accurate results.

STARe software experiment scheduler set up

Mettler Toledo's STARe software allows the user to schedule experiments to start at any time. This is extremely useful for sensitive measurements that require a quiet lab.

Environmental factors, such as weather conditions or road traffic, can trigger changes in ambient temperature or pressure. Also, electronic devices such as mobile phones may cause artifacts on the measurement curves

These factors show up as artifacts on the DSC curve. In this example, an influx of cold air leads to a sudden change in room temperature, which, in turn, results in an abrupt change in the heat transfer affecting the measurement.

To minimize the impact of such external conditions on measurement results, users can schedule experiments to start at the quietest time in the lab. The STARe software "Measurement Scheduler" functionality was designed to automatically start experiments and help users save time by avoiding repeat experiments or waiting for measurements to finish.

We will now show you how to Schedule the start time of an experiment

Go to the Module control window in the STARe software and select the desired experiment from the experiment buffer by right-clicking on it. Next, open Edit experiment and select the Timed Autostart option in the Start box. Timed Autostart allows you to schedule the start date and time. Simply use the arrow buttons to open the calendar and choose your preferred date and time. The start date and time is then displayed on the experiment buffer in the Start column. Confirm and save your settings by clicking OK. Now you have scheduled the start date and time for your chosen experiment.
You have seen how easy it is to schedule measurements with Mettler Toledo's STARe software.

In addition to the measurement scheduler, the email alert functionality can be set up to receive instant updates on the progress of your experiments.
