A Collection of Built-in Concentration Tables in Excellence Instruments

Conversion tables for density and refractometry
Conversion tables for density and refractometry

The concentration of an analyte in a solution can often be determined from the solution’s density or refractive index. Calculating a concentration from one of these two parameters is possible using conversion tables.

METTLER TOLEDO Excellence Density Meters and Refractometers are equipped with a multitude of built-in conversion tables. Implementation of custom conversion tables is also possible.

Notable examples include tables for °Brix, various sugars, alcohols, acids, bases, salts, ammonia, hydrogen peroxide, urine, and more. In addition, determination of freezing points is also possible via refractive index conversion tables.

This application note lists the conversion tables stored on METTLER TOLEDO Excellence Density Meters and Refractometers. Accuracies and resolutions are given for each table and each instrument.
