What are homogenizers?

Homogenizers are high shear stirrers and blender that helps the samples to reduce and disperse which do not dissolve or dissolve slowly in the KF solvent. Homogenizers are very much beneficial for the samples like creams, pastes and solids.

Why use homogenizers in KF titration?

To measure water content within the samples, extracting the water from the samples is a very important step. Although adding a suitable co-solvent or heating the KF vessel can help dissolve samples that do not easily dissolve, yet this methods have limited scope. For samples like creams, pastes, almonds, milk powder, moisturizer, almonds, and gummy candies, homogenizers are used which act as blender and high speed stirrer enhancing the extraction of water from the samples within the KF solvent. Homogenizers are very convenient to use in KF titration as it eliminates tedious sample preparation steps and reduces the analysis time.
