Your New UKAS Certificate

The same accreditation with a new look

The same accreditation with a new look

METTLER TOLEDO is proud to introduce the UKAS Accredited ACC Certificate, which conforms to globally accepted EURAMET cg-18 calibration guideline.

This new certificate applies the same accreditation, UKAS ISO/IEC 17025, with new features and a more comprehensive measurement uncertainty calculation. Below are some of the features of the new certificate:

  • Visual Representation of test results
  • Expanded Uncertainty at each test point
  • Uncertainty in Use for any indication in the whole range
  • Graphical Representation of Absolute and Relative Uncertainty
  • Optional Pass/Fail annex according to users process tolerance

How will this affect my Accreditation?

It won’t. You will still comply with all UKAS standards, and your device will be UKAS certified.

How will my Measurement Uncertainty Calculation Differ?

Your measurement uncertainty calculation is now calculated at each test point, rather than being averaged across all test points. This means that there can be uncertainty values on your certificate that are higher than before, but this provides better reliability into your weighing process.

Additionally, you are now presented with an Uncertainty In Use formula, which can be used to calculate uncertainty at any point in your weighing range.

How do I explain this higher uncertainty to my auditors?

The new uncertainty value is merely a more comprehensive calculation of the same device, in the same environment, using the same weights. Your auditors should be assured that global standards are now being applied on your device that go above and beyond current UKAS guidelines.

While the certificate may look different, the accreditation remains the same, and we ensure the accuracy and performance of your weighing device is still managed as it was before.
