The MTLS Award aims to support impactful cell-based research in life science, biotechnology, and biomedicine worldwide. The prize will be awarded for outstanding research performed by the applicant as described in a 500-word essay required for submission for a chance to win. Read the full terms and conditions here.
About the Prize
In total, three prizes will be awarded, one per region (Europe, Asia, and North America*), each consisting of a set of METTLER TOLEDO instruments and consumables valued at over $35,000, including:
- The SevenExcellence S400-Bio-Kit consisting of meter and specialized sensor
- A 20 µL Rainin pipette
- The UV5Nano spectrophotometer
- CytoDirect cell counter
- 4 boxes of CytoDirect sample slides
- PlateDirect
Additionally, the three winners can showcase their research on METTLER TOLEDO's website to promote their achievements.
Application deadlines
- Opening: May 2nd, 2024
- Closing: December 31st, 2024
- Announcement of winners: February 3rd, 2025
Procedure for entry
All applicants must submit the following items in English:
- A completed entry form.
- A 500-word essay outlining the applicant's contribution to their field of work through cell-based research. The essay must be divided into three sections: the introduction, methods, and results. The applicant must have done or directed all the work within the past three years.
*Only people in Austria, Germany, Denmark, France, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Singapore, China, the USA, and Canada can apply.
