Webinar: Hydrogenation Process Safety and Process Performance

New Approaches to Evaluate Process Safety and Performance

Program události

  • Safety risks in hydrogenations
  • Combining chemistry and equipment properties into a predictive model (Dynochem)
  • Example of hydrogenation with more than six side reactions

Developing hydrogenation processes and ensuring process safety is a complex undertaking. This is because the chemistry involved and the equipment used both affect safety and performance. It is helpful to use a predictive model with a digital twin of the reactor that takes into account all the factors involved. This model can then be used to assess both safety and performance.

Michael Levis of Siegfried AG presents a new strategy to evaluate hydrogenations for process safety and performance. This strategy involved predictive mathematical models and digital twins. It enables us to directly scale up from 1 L to 4000 L.
