Different temperatures
We are constantly asked what temperature is shown, when and where it is shown, in what relation and what this means. Several temperatures are important in thermal analysis.
TS: effective sample temperature
TR: effective reference temperature
TP: set value of the temperature program
The following temperatures are, however, measured:
TC: furnace temperature
TSM: measured sample temperature
TRM: measured reference temperature
∆T: temperature difference between sample and reference
