About the Presenters

Robert Cox

Associate Principal Scientist, AstraZeneca

Robert Cox is a physical organic chemist at AstraZeneca. He received his PhD from University of Edinburgh under the supervision of Prof. Guy Lloyd-Jones before taking up a position in the process understanding team at AZ in 2015. Robert’s main interest is in using phys-org chemistry for process understanding but has also branched into data management, DoE, PAT and automation.

kenji kurita

Kenji Kurita

Senior Principal Scientist, Genentech

Kenji Kurita graduated with a BS in Chemical Biology from UC Berkeley and completed his PhD at the University of California at Santa Cruz in Natural Products Discovery focusing on integrating multidimensional bioactivity screening with untargeted metabolomics. After a short postdoc at Simon Fraser University, he joined Genentech and now leads the Process Analytical Group.
