Qualification and validation confirm a machine produces the expected results. A standardized on-site verification method for weighing equipment installed inside a machine speeds up the validation process for the machine manufacturer and the end user.
Machines and instruments require validation or qualification to prove that they produce the required results and comply with regulations. Weigh modules that are installed inside a machine or instrument are also subject to qualification.
Scientific method
METTLER TOLEDO developed the GWP® (Good Weighing Practice®) Verification. Our method is based on a calibration service that documents the achievable accuracy and measurement uncertainty of the weighing equipment under real operating conditions at the final destination. A GWP® Verification also provides a recommendation about type of calibration weight and re-calibration interval to maintain accuracy over time.
Speed up validation
A machine or instrument manufacturer saves valuable time by using the GWP® Verification Service. The standardized method is flexible to adapt to the individual situation of each machine in its particular environment. The METTLER TOLEDO service technician who performs the on-site verification will also conduct a final optimization of weighing performance, if needed. Our service technicians have the experience to identify environmental impacts to the weighing equipment, which might reduce measuring accuracy or speed.
Traceability included
The on-site calibration is done with traceable physical weights. This ensures traceability to the national standard as requested by regulations and quality control systems.
