Modern Karl Fischer titrators use advanced algorithms for titrant addition and signal evaluation, which make KF titrations ever faster and more accurate. METTLER TOLEDO’s FFA™ is a control algorithm for KF titration that allows fast and accurate water determination in a vast variety of samples.
How the FFA Algorithm Works
The control algorithm relies on the measured current signal of the digital polarized double platinum pin electrode. This sensor detects the presence of water in the KF cell and the FFA™ categorizes the chemical system based on the measured data. This categorization enables the FFA™ to automatically adjust control parameters, such that the exact amount of titrant necessary to titrate all the water contained in a sample can be added in the most efficient way.
EVA KF Titrators – Speed Meets Reliability
The EVA V1 and V3 volumetric KF titrator models from METTLER TOLEDO provide fast and accurate water content determination, thanks to its FFA™ control algorithm and biamperometric indication, which allows for online forecasting of the necessary titrant volume resulting in faster titration times.
