Grignard reagents are ubiquitous in fine chemical synthesis. However, the majority of them are not commercially available, which requires them to be freshy made. This need, combined with the highly exothermic nature of the reaction, is an opportunity for implementing and realizing the benefits of continuous manufacturing.
Herein we report the development of a continuous Grignard generator for a high potency API.
In this webinar, Stephen Born of Continuus Pharmaceuticals provides new techniques using inline PAT to accelerate process understanding for the continuous manufacturing of a Grignard reagent.
