Glucose and Fructose in Honey Using a UV Vis Spectrophotometer

Enzymatic Determination at Fixed Wavelength of 340 nm

The application gives a method to determine glucose and fructose in honey using a UV Vis spectrophotometer.

Background

Glucose and fructose are the main primary sugars found in honey. Honey varies in its composition from type to type. The purpose of analyzing honey is to find out what sugars are present and in what percentage. In this experiment, a kit for the quantitative, enzymatic determination of glucose and fructose in honey is applied.
