DMA Curve Interpretation – A Self-Paced Online Course

视频

The DMA Curve Interpretation E-training Uses Clear Graphical Examples to Explain the Basic Principles of Dynamic Mechanical Analysis, the Various Deformation and Measurement Modes, and the Effects That Can Be Measured in Different Materials

DMA measurements can be performed under very different conditions to characterize the mechanical properties of materials. A great deal of information about a sample is obtained when the temperature, frequency or displacement amplitude is varied.

DMA samples are subjected to a periodic stress in one of several different modes of deformation. Processes and events measured by the DMA include secondary relaxations, glass transitions, crystallization, solid-solid transitions, crosslinking reactions, melting, flow behavior and the rubbery plateau.

These are described using real application examples for the following materials:

  • PET
  • PTFE
  • Silicone oil
  • Printed circuit board coatings
  • EVA (curing)
