Live Webinar: Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA)

How to Measure Changes in Mass as a Function of Temperature or Time

Übersicht der Inhalte

  • Basic principles of TGA and TGA/DSC
  • Features of a TGA instrument
  • Different measurement parameters: heating ramps, atmosphere, pressure
  • Practical example applications
  • Interactive Q&A

TGA is a thermal analysis technique that measures the mass change of a material as it is heated, cooled, or held at a constant temperature. This provides valuable insights into thermal stability, composition, and decomposition behaviors, making it essential for characterizing materials in many different industries.

TGA is often used together with Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) because the two techniques provide complementary information, which often facilitates the interpretation of thermal events. Applications using this useful combination of techniques are highlighted in this engaging webinar.

Key Takeaways

During the webinar you will gain an understanding of the basics of TGA, learn why DSC is such a great complementary technique when combined with TGA, and gain exposure to a variety of application examples from different industries.

We will conclude with a live Q&A session so don’t forget to prepare your questions for our experts!

TGA Applications

As well as presenting a comprehensive introduction to TGA and TGA/DSC techniques, we also describe different application examples to demonstrate the analytical power and versatility of TGA/DSC. Applications include content determination, pseudopolymorphism, curie transformations, and evolved gas analysis. Don’t miss out on this expert knowledge!
