We support and service your measurement equipment through its entire life-cycle, from installation to preventive maintenance and calibration to equipment repair.
O2 sensors are amperometric gas sensors designed for continuous measurement and monitoring of gas-phase oxygen for a range of applications. These user-friendly O2 sensors can be directly installed into the process without hassle and are easy to replace, calibrate and maintain. O2 sensors with Intelligent Sensor Management (ISM) digital technology feature advanced diagnostics and Plug and Measure for fast sensor start-up and maintenance without process interruption.

O2 sensors from METTLER TOLEDO are amperometric, or polarographic, gas oxygen sensors. These sensors for measuring gaseous oxygen use an oxygen permeable membrane and an electrochemical anode/cathode assembly. These gas phase oxygen sensors are good for gas monitoring in applications such as nitrogen blanketing and off-gas monitoring.
Amperometric gas sensors by METTLER TOLEDO provide fast measurements and are quick and easy to replace, calibrate and maintain.
The inner body of an amperometric gas sensor requires occasional replacement. More frequently, the electrolyte in the sensor's membrane body will need replenished and the membrane body itself, replaced. Replacement/refilling times vary based on individual application conditions and knowing when to conduct these tasks is often down to the experience of operators.
METTLER TOLEDO amperometric gas sensors with Intelligent Sensor Management (ISM) technology offer diagnostic tools that show, in days remaining, when inner body and membrane body replacement or electrolyte refilling should be performed. These tools, such as the Dynamic Lifetime Indicator, help to ensure that you avoid any unplanned downtime in your monitoring and control processes.
Calibration intervals are difficult to calculate, but ISM technology will give you an estimate based on the conditions of the process the O2 sensor is operating in. The Adaptive Calibration Timer (ACT) provides an accurate calculation for when you should plan to calibrate your amperometric gas sensor, meaning less unplanned downtime or process interruptions.
METTLER TOLEDO offers four primary models of gas-phase, amperometric oxygen sensor.
The InPro 6800G and InPro 6850iG are designed for chemical and pharmaceutical processes where in situ measurement of gas-phase oxygen is required. These models are particularly suited to act as an O2 sensor in harsh industrial processes.
The InPro 6900G and InPro 6950iG are O2 sensors for brewing. This type of trace-level sensor is primarily used for CO2 capture during fermentation.
Both a DO sensor (dissolved oxygen) and an O2 sensor measure oxygen (O2). Generally speaking, the term DO sensor is used when the oxygen is dissolved in a process media, such as pure water. The term O2 sensor is primarily used for the measurement of gas-phase oxygen. METTLER TOLEDO offers both DO sensors and O2 sensors. METTLER TOLEDO's O2 sensors are primarily amperometric oxygen sensors, but METTLER TOLEDO also produces a tunable diode laser oxygen analyzer.
