Automated Gravimetric Dosing Control

This video highlights the benefits of automated gravimetric dosing control to speed chemical process development.

Gravimetric dosing control is used to precisely dose reagents during chemical process development. Unattended, automated gravimetric dosing can be performed by using the Easy Control Box (ECB) with your existing EasyMax, OptiMax, and RX-10. Monitor mass flow rate directly from the touchscreen. ECB with SmartConnect cables automatically recognize your balance and dosing pump for easy set-up and configuration.

ECB connects to existing laboratory equipment including:

  • Diaphragm Pump including Prominent and KNF SimDos
  • Harvard/KDS Syringe Pump (limited control through TTL interface)
  • Peristaltic Pump including Watson-Marlow
  • METTLER TOLEDO Balances

What Are the Advantages of Gravimetric Dosing Control?
Compared to other dosing methods, gravimetric dosing control provides the following advantages:

  • Precise, accurate, and repeatable
  • Amount dosed is not affected by changes in density
  • Ease-of-use when cleaning and changing reagents; no need to recalibrate after each batch
  • Direct measure of dosing rate for quality management
